Salina Jane Vanderhorn is the founder of Saturday Morning Books + Analog. A multidisciplinary artist, writer, and designer, Salina brings a rich background in visual storytelling, community engagement, and experiential design to everything she creates.Salina was born and raised in the same community Saturday Morning serves, from families that came to the area generations before her. Her grandfather and great uncle served as pillars of the community and owned thriving businesses of their own in town.Before launching Saturday Morning, Salina successfully ran a design agency with a global roster of clients including Lindt, Four Seasons, L'Oréal, and RBC. Her work as a strategic brand designer has shaped award-winning creative and meaningful experiences, blending precision with emotional resonance. She has worked both internally and externally with some of Canada’s largest retailers (Holt Renfrew, LCBO, Indigo), helping them grow and problem solve.In addition to her design practice, Salina is a creative nonfiction writer whose work has been long-listed for the CBC Nonfiction Prize, and a practicing artist in painting and ceramics. She is also the creator of Open Closely, a full-moon journaling project fostering connection and introspection.
